FODZYME® is the world's first enzyme blend designed ti break down FODMAPs.
FODZYME®'s novel patent-pending enzyme blend breaks down the FODMAP molecules fructan, galacto-oligosaccharides and lactose into more digestible simple sugars. All you have to do is sprinkle it on or mix it with high-FODMAP meals and it will help you savour every bite.
1. Which foods is FODZYME® suitable for?
FODZYME® is suitable for and helping you digest foods containing the following FODMAPS: fructan, galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) and lactose.
Examples of foods containing fructan, galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) and lactose:
Garlic | Onions | Wheat |
Scallions |
Almonds | Cashews | Pistachios | Peas |
Baby spinach | Artichoke | Chickpeas | Beans |
Broccoli | Brussel sprouts | Lentils |
Cabbage |
Paneer | Milk | Ice-cream | Cream |
Cottage cheese | Buttermilk | Goats cheese | Creamy cheeses |
Quark cheeses | Ricotta cheese | Haloumi | Rapserries |
Bananas | Dates | Pomgranate | Figs |
Roma Tomatoes | Blueberries | Grapefruit | Silken Tofu |
2. Which foods is FODZYME® not suitable for?
FODZYME® is currently no helping with the digestions of foods containing polyols or high amounts of fructose.
Examples of foods containing polyols (not compatible with FODZYMEl):
Apple | Cherries | Plum | Apricot |
Lychee | Avocado | Mushrooms | Sauerkraut |
Blackberries | Nectarines | Sweet corn | Cauliflower |
Oeacg | Sweet Oitati | Celery | Wasabi |
3. Who should take FODZYME®? Wll it work for me?
FODZYME®'s enzymes break down triggering substances (fermentable fibres) but it does not target specific conditions. Specifically, FODZYME®'s enzymes break down the fibres fructan, galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) and lactose. If you know that you are sensitive to foods that contain those fibres, it is recommended you give FODZYME® a try. FODZYME® breaks down fructants into fructose therefore, it is not suitable for someone who is extremely sensitive to fructose and/or suffers from hereditary fructose intolerance.
4. How should I take FODZYME®?
Sprinkle 1/4 tsp (0,75 g) does of powder on trigger foods right before eating.
Dose up if needed: Add a second dose if still eating after 30 minutes.
Don't add to water - the powder works best when mixed directly with your meals. Water can diminish the effect of enzymes.
Chew & Savour - chew well to help the enzymes integrate with FODMAP's and activate instantly.
Don't heat up - avoid adding the powder to your cooking, as enzymes will deactivate at very high temperatures.
5. How do the FODZYME® enzymes work?
An enzymatic approach can enable people to receive nutritional benefits without having digestive discomfort, pain, or other symptoms. FODZYME’s enzymes are very specialised proteins produced by micro-organisms that break down specific substrates, in this case, FODMAP molecules. When sprinkled on or mixed with high-FODMAP meals, FODZYME’s novel patent-pending enzyme blend breaks down the FODMAP molecules like fructan, galacto-oligosaccharides, and lactose into more digestible simple sugars, helping you enjoy the foods you love.
FODZYME®'s efficacy was tested through SHIME®, a scientifically validated model of a human gut. Findings have shown that fructan was rapidly broken into simple fructose with ~90% of the inulin degraded within 30 minutes. The study also showed that 70% of fructose was absorbed during the simulated small intestinal transit, thus reducing gas.
