FODMAP in three steps
The FODMAP diet is not a ban for life. It helps you find out what your gut tolerates.
-
Eliminate
2 to 6 weeks
You eat low FODMAP until your symptoms clearly ease.
-
Test
8 to 12 weeks
You reintroduce the FODMAP groups one at a time and note what you tolerate.
-
Enjoy
long term
You eat a varied diet again and only avoid what causes you symptoms.
Cooking without onion or garlic
Onion and garlic are in many ready-made sauces and stocks and are among the biggest sources of FODMAPs. With garlic oil, onion or garlic replacer and stock without either, your food still tastes the way you are used to.
FODZYME for dinner invitations and restaurants
FODZYME is an enzyme powder you mix into your food just before eating. It breaks down fructans, GOS and lactose directly in the food, meaning FODMAPs from onion, garlic, wheat, pulses and milk.
Does not work on fructose or polyols. Do not use during reintroduction.

Frequently asked questions
What does low FODMAP mean?
FODMAPs are carbohydrates that the small intestine absorbs poorly. In many people with IBS they cause bloating, abdominal pain or diarrhoea. Low FODMAP means a food contains only a small amount of them in a normal serving. More in the article What are FODMAPs?
Are all products certified?
Many, but not all. Certified products have been tested by Monash University or FODMAP Friendly. The certification applies to the serving stated on the pack. For all other products, you will find the full ingredients on the product page.
Where do you deliver, and how fast?
In Switzerland we ship with Swiss Post. Orders from the EU and the rest of Europe are sent from our warehouse in Germany. Your order is usually on its way within 4 days.
How much is shipping?
It depends on the weight and the country. In Switzerland, for example, a parcel up to 2 kg costs CHF 9.10 with PostPac Economy, and shipping to Germany starts at EUR 6.00 with tracking and insurance. All rates are listed in the shipping information.
Is low FODMAP the same as gluten-free?
No. FODMAPs are carbohydrates, while gluten is a protein. Wheat, rye and barley are limited on the FODMAP diet because of their fructans, not because of the gluten. More in the article FODMAP vs. gluten.
Are there recipes for the FODMAP diet?
Yes, around 40 recipes without onion or garlic, from bread to curry. You will find them all in our recipes.
