Enzymes

Digestive enzymes for the FODMAP diet: FODZYME is an enzyme powder that you mix into your food or sprinkle on the first few bites just before eating. Made for dishes with onions, garlic, wheat, pulses and dairy: the enzymes break down their fructans, GOS and lactose right in the food, the very FODMAPs that many people avoid on the low FODMAP diet. This way FODZYME can make FODMAP-rich foods such as onions and garlic easier to tolerate. The enzymes do not work on fructose or polyols. It comes as the Starter Kit, the On-the-go Kit and the Home Kit, all certified by FODMAP Friendly, with the Home Kit and On-the-go Kit also certified by Monash University. You can find out which FODMAPs the enzymes work on, and which they do not, in our FODZYME FAQ.

Pizza. Pasta. Onions. Garlic. Hummus. Ice cream.

FODZYME breaks down their FODMAPs right in your food.

One serving of powder on your food, mix it in, enjoy. The enzymes break down fructans, GOS and lactose before they reach the large intestine.

  • Right in your foodThe enzymes get to work as soon as they touch the food.
  • TastelessThe texture stays the same. Nobody at the table will notice.
  • Goes wherever you goIn restaurants, onions and garlic are often hidden in sauces and stock. A sachet fits in any bag.

Does not work on fructose or polyols. Do not use during reintroduction.

How to use FODZYME

Three rules so the enzymes work in your food.

  1. One dose per meal

One scoop from the Home Kit (about 0.75 g) or one sachet from the On-the-go Kit (1 g).

  2. Straight onto your food

Mix it in just before eating or sprinkle it over the first few bites, and chew well. Do not stir it into plain water.

  3. Not above 60 °C

Do not cook it with the food, and let very hot food cool briefly. If the meal lasts longer than 30 minutes, dose each course separately.

Frequently asked questions

Which kit is right for me?

The Home Kit is a tub with 60 servings and a scoop for use at home. The On-the-go Kit has 30 sachets of 1 g for restaurants, the office and travel.

Can I take FODZYME during reintroduction?

No. In phase 2 you test how you react to individual FODMAPs, and FODZYME would skew these tests.

Who is FODZYME not suitable for?

It is not suitable for hereditary fructose intolerance. It also does not work on fructose, polyols such as sorbitol and mannitol, or gluten.

Where can I buy FODZYME in Switzerland and the EU?

At FODCORNER, an authorised FODZYME retailer. We ship to Switzerland, and from Germany to the EU.
